Three main influences on this song, hPr's love of Ace Frehley, Fu Manchu, and the old sci-fi movie, The Day The Earth Stood Still!
Balancing Frequencies is our debut EP and the first chapter in the Sonic 67 story. These five songs capture the energy, influences, and passion that drive our music, blending big guitars, memorable hooks, and powerful melodies with themes that range from personal reflection to larger-than-life storytelling.
From the cosmic journey of Outerspace and the driving force of Heavy, to the emotional depth of The Journey, My Fair Lady, and Military Man, this collection represents the sound we set out to create—honest, guitar-driven rock music built on strong songs and genuine emotion.
Balancing Frequencies features hPr on lead vocals, backing vocals, and all guitars, Marc Healy on bass, and Jerry Buescher on drums and backing vocals. Together, we brought these songs to life in the studio, creating a debut release that reflects our love of classic and modern rock while establishing the foundation of Sonic 67's sound.
Thanks for listening and being part of the journey. We hope you enjoy Balancing Frequencies as much as we enjoyed creating it.

A call to the blues, using a touch of slap back echo on the vocals, and a riff reminiscent of Stevie Ray Vaughn's version of Mary Had a Little Lamb

Using a haunting type reverb in the verses, and an autobiographic lyrical approach, this is personal type song, though we're all on some type of journey, stand or fall!

Just a big epic song that pays tribute to those that have served, are, or will regardless of branch. We don't get to jump up on stage and play music without our freedom. There's a story to this song, see us live, you may just get to hear that story!
